Big Dragon Pool
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them. Big Dragon Pool is one of the most popular tourist attractions in China. The Pool is located only about 2 miles to the south of Liuzhou city. It is named after the mythical dragon that was believed to live in the waters and had the power to control thunder and rain. This one square kilometer pool is where Tang dynasty poet Liu Zongyuan prayed for rain on behalf of the local people so that harvests would be plentiful. Liu wrote about his prayer sessions, his works and described the powers of the dragon by referring to the pool as the thunder tomb, a name that is still used. Seven hills, known as the Seven Lady Peaks circle the pool, embracing visitors in divine nature. Big Dragon Pool, justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. The refreshing milieu, gentle breeze, best geographical environment and the best quality of life around the pool offers the most pleasant site for tourists to enjoy their vacations.
