Changbaishan
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them.
Changbaishan means eternally white mountains and is located in the southeast of Jilin near the Korean border. It is China's largest nature reserve and is home to the rare Manchurian tiger, snow leopards and wild ginseng.
The most famous scenic area in Changbaishan is Baitoushan as White Head Mountain and Tianchi is Lake of Heaven, a 2 million year old volcanic crate lake at the mountainsummit. Tianchi has a circumference of 13 kilometers and has an average depth of 204 meters. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, hot springs and waterfalls this area is considered sacred by both Koreans and Manchus.
Changbaishan justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place.
