City Walls

The City Walls of Xian were first built during the Tang dynasty when Chang'an was the capital of all of China. Today rectangular walls date back to the Ming dynasty and are the only complete city walls in China. They enclose the old city for 12 kilometers and have turrets, battlements and a moat.

The City Walls of Xian justifiably so, enjoys a very positive reputation with worldwide travelers, and is one of the most visited place. It is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place will leave a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justify the proud cultural tradition of China.
