Confucius forest
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them. Confucius Forest is located in the north of Qufu City of Shandong Province. Confucius Forest is the largest and oldest family cemetery. Confucius and his descendants, the longest line of descendants in the world, rest amid trees, pavilions and statues. Confucius Forest has lasted for more than 2,400 years. Confucius was buried here after his death. The tomb of Confucius is in the northwest of the graveyard. At first, the graveyard was 1 qing or 6.6667 hectares but had reached more than 3,000 mu, measurement units or 200 hectares, since it received fields from the emperor of every dynasty. Confucius Forest has a bounding wall of 7 kilometers in length with more than 10,000 graves in it. The graves spread all over the ground in Confucius Forest and beside the tombs stand stone tablets inscribed with handwritings of the notable people of the times, and vibrant stone sculptures. There are also several other famous historic sites. In Confucius Forest, the old trees reach the sky, with dense branches and leaves keeping out the sunlight around the year. There are dozens of kinds of rare old trees, such as Chinese pistache, cypress, Chinese juniper, and oak, amounting to more than 20,000 trees. Some of the trees are so rare that their proper names are yet unknown. China is a popular travel destination for visitors and globe trotters from all over the world who appreciate its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious local cuisine, hospitality and safety. Quality is China's top priority.
