Famen Temple

Famen Temple is located 118 kilometers west of Xian and was built during the Eastern Han dynasty that lasted from 25 to 220AD to accumulate a remnant of Buddha's finger bone. In 1987 the largest Buddhist underground palace in China was too uncovered here. This temple houses many valuable treasures that include more than 2,400 gold and silver items, porcelain, glazed wares, jewelry, pottery and textile products of the Tang majestic court. Famen Temple is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place will leave a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justify the proud cultural tradition of China.
