Palkhor Monastery

This Monastery is located at about 230 kilometers to the south of Lhasa and 100 kilometers to the east of Shigatse, at the foot of Dzong Hill. It has a unique structural style and houses a collection of pure silk costumes worn in Tibetan opera, all richly embroidered, that date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Even though Palkhor Monastery meant the partial loss of its tourist profile due to urbanization, some features of its past times of splendor still remain. It also adds to the beauty of China and this fact has consolidated along with abroad tourists visiting the place, making it the most favorite holiday destination for most of the vacation lovers.
