Plum Garden

China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them.

The Plum Garden, once the private garden of a high-ranking official of the Qing dynasty, is on Hushan hill in the southwest corner of Wuxi. As the name suggests, the garden is planted all over with plum trees.

It started as a small peach garden and has since expanded into a charming and fragrant area filled with plum, peach and cherry trees. While the trees serve to beautify the hillside of the garden, the hillside itself has become a unique feature because it is completely covered with the plum trees. Pavilions and terraces, together with a pagoda, are laid out with good taste on the premises.

In early spring the plum trees come into full bloom, while in mid-autumn the entire garden is permeated with the heady fragrance of sweet-scented osmanthus trees. The blossoms are especially beautiful in the spring including the bonsai, but visitors come year round to enjoy the pavilions, halls, caves and greenery. The Plum Pagoda or Nianqu Pagoda in the highest part of the garden offers a beautiful view in spring of the plum blossom and Lake Taihu.

China is a popular travel destination for visitors and globe trotters from all over the world who appreciate its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious local cuisine, hospitality and safety. Quality is China's top priority.
