Lushan
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them. The Lushan mountain area covers over 90 peaks and soars to 1500 meters over the shores of the Poyang Lake. The hill is spread with colonial villas, temples, waterfalls and fascinating rock formations which make it a popular resort spot. The region was a historic summer getaway spot for Chinese leaders, Europeans expatriates and the wealthy as well. Amongst the sites you will discover the former residence of Chiang Kaishek and meeting places for Mao Zedong and other senior Communist leaders. Several villas have been transformed into hotels and are an attractive mix of various styles of architecture from the 20th century. The cloudy peaks and rocky cliffs have also been the motivation for many artists and poets. The Tang dynasty that lasted from 618 to 907 AD had a poet Bai Juyi who said that the amazing beauty of mount Lushan is surpassed by no other, which clarifies why so many people come to the mountains during the summer months.
The Lushan Mountain is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place will leave a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justify the proud cultural tradition of China.
