Sun Island
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. The Sun Island lies at the Songhua River side in Harbin City, opposite to the urban screened by the river. Accompanied by the beautiful landscapes all over the year, it is a well-known scenic spot and a good healing place in Chinese north regions.
Harbin Songhua River freezes over during winter and all types of winter sports are enjoyed on the frozen river. The ice melts away in spring and during Harbin's short hot summer people cross the river to attain the resort area of Sun Island. Principally a scenic retreat from the city for sunbathing and relaxing, Sun Island has swimming pools, fairground rides and boats for hire as well. The attractive area of the Sun Island is composing with 20 scenic spots. Such as the water pavilion and loud sky, youth's family, waterside pavilion, fountain and flying waterfall, Sun Mountain and Lotus Lake, occupying an area of 38 square kilometers.
Several lotus flowers in the Lotus Lake dancing in the wind, with thick lotus leaves, attract a large number of visitors every year. There is huge grassland and a jungle on the island, you can take the colorful donkey car and let the groom drive the sunshade car go around the Sun Island. And enjoy the north regions' feelings which belong to northeast districts.
