Taishan
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. However, China is rapidly developing and has grown in the phase of modernization, with an immense speed and is also welcoming the outer world to interact and do business with them. Royal Taishan is a national park and the holiest and most revered of the sacred mountains in China. It covers an area of 426 square kilometers and the peak is 1,545 meters above sea level. In imperial times, numerous newly established emperors would come to the mountain to worship heaven and perform grand sacrificial ceremonies. Many historical relics are found on Taishan including the Heavenly Queen Pool, Red Gate Palace, South Gate to Heaven, Azure Cloud Temple as well as stone carvings from various dynasties, including the Buddhist Diamond Sutra carved on a stone cliff in Sutra Stone Valley. Also Mount Tai has been a site of pilgrimage and worship for Buddhists, Daoists, Confucianists and Maoists, and therefore many temples and shrines spot the slopes of the mountain. In 1987, UNESCO, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization listed Taishan as part of the World Natural and Cultural Heritage. China is a popular travel destination for visitors and globe trotters from all over the world who appreciate its beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious local cuisine, hospitality and safety. Quality is China's top priority.
