Yuexiu Park
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. Yuexiu Park covers over 100 hectares and is located in central Guangzhou. Apart from the lakes and landscaped gardens the park is also home to some of the city famous sights including Guangzhou symbolic Statue of the Five Goats and the Guangzhou Museum. There are a number of small amusement parks for children within Yuexiu Park including the Journey to the West Amusement Park, which is an entertaining mini-theme park featuring characters from this classic Chinese story.Yuexiu Park is a perfect combination of cultural relics and ecological tourism, reputed for its pretty water and hills as well as cultural relics. The main places of interest include the stone sculpture of the Five Rams, Zhenhai Tower, the site of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and Square Cannon Site.Yuexiu Park is actually the largest urban parkland in whole China. As such, this can be a lovely place to take a walk and although it is a popular spot, the crowds are made more bearable. The park was first built in 1952 and consists of numerous lakes, pagodas and pavilions and three major sites which are interesting in themselves.
Yuexiu Park is definitely one of the popular tourist attractions in China. It is worth paying a visit while touring the country. This place leaves a pleasing and unforgettable memory and justifies the proud cultural tradition of China.
