Xining
China, an East Asian country is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. It has a vast cultural history of more than five thousand years and an outstanding natural beauty. On the other hand, this country has remained a comparatively isolated and secluded one, and being a land of mystery, this country is not known to the western half of the world. Xining is the capital of Qinghai Province, People's Republic of China. Xining is located in the eastern part of Qinghai province and lies on the HuangShui River. It has a total area of 350 square kilometers. As of 2006, the total population of Xining is approximately 2,095,000 inhabitants, with an urban population of 1,029,400. Xining used to be a chief commercial hub on the caravan route to Tibet, handling especially with timber, wool and salt. Xining was the extraterritorial capital of the Koko Nor territory and remained in Gansu until 1928, when it became the capital of the newly formed Qinghai province.
Xiningis also said to be as the town of best geographical environment and can trace its origins back to prehistoric times. Today, one can also learn about its history, from its earliest times and pursue enthusiasm in its natural beauty and populace.
